October Wedding at Marriott Sand Key

The Marriott Clearwater Beach Sand Key is probably one of the most convenient venues on Clearwater Beach. After shooting a wedding in Ft Lauderdale recently I said the ideal wedding would be to have the majority of the wedding on the east coast, where the sun is behind you, lighting up the water in the background, and then for sunset pictures go to the west coast. At the Marriott Sand Key, you kind of can do that. The sun is in the ideal position for the ceremony shining on bride and groom with the Intracoastal Waterway in the background. For sunset you can easily walk to the beach or get a ride from the staff at the Marriott. On this wedding the timing was probably about an hour behind of what would have been ideal. The lighting got very dark during the vows and we would have liked more time for sunset pictures on the beach at Sand Key Park, so things got a little rushed there.

Cassandra & Peter were friends for about 8-9 years, but never made an actual connection until September of 2016. They had gone golfing and Cassandra played her best game, clearly trying to win Peter’s heart over. It worked so well that when she was in Austin for work for the next 2 weeks, Peter hopped on a plane and spent the weekend with her. She had recently given up on love, and really thought that soulmates did not exist. Apparently she was just looking in the wrong place cause Peter was right under her nose.
