The style and decor of weddings at  Nova 535  is very classy and trendy without being too over the top, as you can see in these pictures. It provides a nice intimate, casual, rustic atmosphere for a wedding. The use of uplighting against the brick walls and wooden beams are beautiful and definitely give this place a unique feel. We like to use low light lenses, so that we capture the ambient lighting of Nova.

Wedding ceremonies can take place outside in the Bamboo Courtyard, which provides a nice tropical atmosphere. The only thing that can be challenging for photography and video is the bright sun mixed with shadows at certain times of the day, so the lighting can be very uneven.  If having a wedding at Nova 535 in the courtyard, ideally it is best to have the ceremony start at about 90 minutes before sunset. If you start 2 hours of more before sunset, than you will have some harsh uneven lighting coming in that can affect your photography and video.

They also have a fantastic bar, great staff, really nice bathrooms (they are individual rooms with marble interiors (like something you would see at a 5 start resort). The wedding coordinators are very helpful ensure the wedding receptions are done in an orderly way The owner is Michael Novilla, and obviously has a commitment to excellence with every detail.

At the end of the receptions they will do a sparkler exit in the bamboo courtyard, just spectacular.  We always enjoy the weddings at Nova 535 which allow us to shoot artistic wedding photography.
