Tampa Quinceañera

Aerial Photography at University of Tampa

Mexican Quinceañera Tampa from Celebrations of Tampa Bay on Vimeo.

Quince in Tampa of Juliana Reyes. Ceremony at Blessed Sacrament Church. It had rained most of the day and we were disappointed that we might not be able to do any aerial shots with the drone. We we arrived at University of Tampa, the rain had subsided, and we ended up getting great aerial footage of this beautiful quinceañera.

The University of Tampa is ideal for photography and video of a quince, with its victorian achitecture. We use the stairs in the front to do creative shots of the quinceañera court. It also allows for some great shots from the drone flying through the trees. The inside has antique wood furnishings which id ideal for vintage photography. There are also opportunities for water shots being right on the Hillsborough River. The huge palm trees and rich green grass also provide some nice lush natural backgrounds. When I heard that the quinceañera wanted to stop at McDonalds, I thought that would be a great place to get some unique shots. How ofter do you get to film a Quinceañera at McDonalds.

The reception was at the new Tampa Events Banquet Hall in North Tampa http://www.tampa-events.com/. This was my 2nd time shooting at this venue, and like the first time was able to follow the limo with the drone pulling into the venue. This time they had all the rooms opened up to create one big room which was very nice. Juliana walked in to the reception being entertained with a Mariachi Band. After dinner Juliana and her court dazzled the quests with a waltz and choreographic dance.
