Giraffe Kisses the Bride
Our Tampa Videographers had a fun wedding at Lowry Park Zoo of Jennifer & Sean Geddes last Saturday. During the cocktail hour, Lowry Park Zoo, allows the guests to get close to some exotic animals, with their interactive animal encounters. The Ceremony was at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and then as soon as the bridal party arrived at Lowry Park Zoo, we went with Jennifer & Sean, along with their Photographer Beccy Shakespeare (who is always a joy to work with), around the zoo for pictures and video. Although there are other venues with animals, Lowry Park really is the best for getting video and pictures with the animals. The animal trainers as well as the cordinators at Lowry Park are very friendly and easy to work with. This venue offers a great experience for your guests that will have them talking about your wedding for years to come. It’s not everyday that the bride gets to kiss a giraffe (and I think it was a french kiss). Wow, that giraffe sure has a big tongue. The bridal party was also allowed to ride the merry-go-round which they greatly enjoyed. The wedding day can be stressful for a bride, but you can see that this extended cocktail hour (90 minutes) was very enjoyable for both the bride and the groom. We also provided the DJ services inside the 17,000 square foot Safari Lodge. I added some African music during dinner to be consistent with the intimate exotic atmosphere of the Safari Lodge. We will be posting a short highlight video of the reception on our DJ page in a couple of weeks. As someone who has done all the large upscale venue in Tampa Bay, I have to say this is as good as any of them. The colored soft lighting inside is great, so you really have no need for up lighting here. The food as well was very, very good. As a photographer and videographer I would have to say that Lowry Park Zoo is one of the best venues in Tampa Bay that you could choose for a wedding and reception.
