Rain is a Blessing on this wedding at Sirata Beach Resort
One of the nice things about the Sirata Beach Resort is that even if it rains, we still have some areas under cover where we can still get outdoor shots. When it was pouring rain during sunset I told Joe & the bride, “no problem, we can still go to the 2nd Floor, balcony knowing that we could still get the Palm Trees in the Courtyard in the background despite the rain. We were just outside the Majestic Palm Room where another wedding reception was happening. Whoever their photographer was, was really missing out, because the sky was awesome. At times we had to have the bride just on the edge of where it was raining, but she was great. It turned out better than a sunset. The sky was a orangeish brownish color, it was like a studio backdrop. Joe did the Photos, Randy the Video which will be posted soon, and Dave was the DJ in the Royal Palm Room on the 8th Floor.
Olesia & Daniel met in Charleston, South Carolina. Their relationship grew as they realized they both loved to dance. After sharing adventures in Miami, NYC, Norfolk, VA, North Carolina, California, they were engaged in St Petersburg, Russia at the Hermitage Museum. It was only fitting for them to be married in St Petersburg, Florida at the Sirata Beach Resort. We also love the Sirata because of the Sea Oates which adds to the character of the picture. The beach and ocean are nice, but we also like to have other features in the pictures as well.
Olesia & Daniel were so great to work with, beautiful bridal party, and Tatiana the maid of honor who was a big help as well. It makes our jobs so much easier when you have a bride who is cooperative and willing to give us time.
Their ceremony was on the Breezeway Deck, but unlike other weddings we had done on the Breeze Way Deck the ceremony set up was closer to the beach in the open area of the deck. This is a great idea, because backlighting is not as much of an issue is it is when everyone is under the covered area of the deck. The cloudy skies also was great keeping it from being too bright, as well as keeping the temperature from being brutally hot.
