October Wedding at Kapok Special Events Center

A Christ-Centered ceremony of Kimberly & Dan on this wedding at the Kapok Special Events Center.  Jamie shot the still photography, Randy the video, and our DJ Roma provided the entertainment for the reception.   We were like a kid in a candy store with so much to shoot at the Kapok and with a cooperative and very beautiful bride it made our day pretty easy.  We purposely wanted to use Jamie for this wedding because he moves very quick, which is important at this venue because you want to take advantage of all the beautiful surroundings.

The historic Kapok Special Events Center formerly known at The Kapok Tree is an ideal venue for wedding Photography & Video.  There is so much to shot at The Kapok, and as a photographer you really want to give the bride as many variety of pictures as you can. The Garden area alone has some great backgrounds with the Waterfalls, The Flower Wall, and the Iron Gazebo which we shot with a drone. At dusk we always like to shoot the Water Fountain in the back as the lighting is soft at that point, and the lights from the fountain glow. Inside the grand Stairway is always great for photos, its like something you would see on the Titanic. The Florida Room, which is where the ceremony is at with its Golden Arches and chandeliers. The silhouette of the bride as she takes her father’s hand just before she walks down the aisle is a inpressive thing to see. If all that is not enough, at night time, its good to go back into the garden again, as you have a whole different look at night. I think we could probably spend 3 hours hear shooting, but that is just not realistic, however fortunately on this wedding the bride was very cooperative and and the cordinator at the Kapok very nice and gaved us plenty of time.
