Sirata Coconut Palm Pavilion Tent Ballroom
Aerials from drone on wedding at the Sirata Beach Resort
If you a bride and considering having a wedding at the Sirata Beach Resort, the video above is a must to watch. We show this beautiful ocean front resort with some spectacular aerial footage from our drone. On this wedding of Lydia Fernandez & Michael Mendez, there wasn’t much dancing, so it allowed us to fly the drone more than we normally do, including inside the Coconut Palm Ballroom. This is the closest ball room to the ocean of any wedding venue on St Pete Beach, which makes it very easy to step out for sunset photos. We opened the sides of the tent so the guests had unobstructed views of the beach and the ocean. The DJ provided by Expert Productions run by Joe Lorenzo, a old friend of mine http://www.expertdjvideo.com/. It was not the DJs fault people were not dancing, it was just such a great atmosphere being on the beach, hard for any dj to compete with. The guest preferred to enjoy the warm Florida evening on the beach. The Sirata, provides a “Giant Jenga” game to play on the patio of the Coconut Palm, which was a big hit with the kids, and the adults enjoyed watching. This outdoor game is perfect for a wedding because allows the guests to interact with each other.
I love the “vintage style” lighting on the inside of this Tent Pavilion. Our photographer, Joe, and myself decided to do some creative shots with the lighting, which you can see on the video. We always love doing a wedding at the Sirata Beach resort because of the variety of areas for photography and video. The Sirata has a beautiful Courtyard, which we did not utilize in this wedding, but you can see at at the beginning of the video from the drone. We do so many weddings at both the Sirata and its next door neighbor the Grand Plaza, we wanted to do something alittle different with the opening shots from the drone. Instead of flighing at a higher altititude, I decided to do a lower alititude shot flying over the ocean towards the Sirata. A Wedding at the Sirata Beach Resort is very convenient for guests as well. We had great weather on this wedding at the Sirata Beach resort, but another thing I like about this venue is if it rains they have a covered area outdoors, The Breezeway Deck so guests can be protected from rain, yet you still have the great view of the beach. There is also more room for parking than many of the other St Pete Beach wedding Venues.
Lydia & Michael did a sparkler exit on the beach, and then had a horse & carriage take them along Gulf Blvd with our drone following them. A great way to end another tropical wedding at the Sirata Beach Resort.
