Long Version Video

On this page we show what a Long Version Video looks like.  On these videos being we have posted them to the internet, we cannot show the dancing portion because of music copyright laws, however, on your DVD or BluRay, we include all the dancing during the reception.   In most cases, your long version video has all the footage with the exception of mistakes or things you would not want on the video anyways.

Music for Video

We carefully match the mood and tempo of the video with the mood and tempo of the music.   A top 40s song  can be distracting with what is happening on video.  Therefore, we like to use scores from movies as well as other instrumental pieces, because they will add to what is happening on the video, without detracting from it. We also use high quality Royalty Free Music which we’ve paid $40-$99 per song for the license which allows us to post to the internet.  Due to copyright laws we cannot use copyrighted music for the highlight videos.  During segments where there tends to be more talking and important audio (pre-ceremony & ceremony), it is usually best to use instrumental music.  We never want to “drown out” words being spoken.  We will lower the music, and raise the volume of the words.  If the audio is just “ambient noise”, we bring that audio down and bring the music up.  On your DVD/Blu Ray, you will hear the music that you have playing during the ceremony as well as during the dancing portion of the reception.

If you have copyrighted music requests, a good place for them is during the Formals, because during that time, a lyrical song works great. (See Below)

It used to be that Royalty Free Music was not very good…not so today!  The Royalty Free music we use, is in most cases even better than the copyrighted music, because it is designed for video.   To view more on the selection of the music see music for video.   The best way to pick the music for your video is to look at our videos and let us know what you like and don’t like.   If you do have music requests, we must have that by your wedding date.  As always, feel free to contact us with any questions.   (Randy@CelebrationsofTampaBay.com)
